Information we collect

When you create a profile or sign in, we collect your email address and the information you choose to include in your matrimonial profile (such as age, location, education, and preferences). We do not collect payment information — all subscription payments are handled offline directly with the matchmaker.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Display your profile to other registered members
• Allow you to browse and connect with other profiles
• Send important service emails (profile status, contact requests)
• Improve the platform and user experience

Your profile visibility

Your profile is visible to all visitors of this portal — including those who are not signed in. Basic information (gender, age, location, education, sect) is visible to everyone. Your WhatsApp number is only visible to subscribers, and only after a contact request is approved. You can hide or delete your profile at any time from the My Profile page.

Profile sharing on social media

MuslimWed may share profiles on our social media channels to help families find suitable matches. We will never share your name or photo — MuslimWed never collects names or photos as part of your profile. Only non-identifying information such as age, city, education, and background may be shared publicly. If you do not wish your profile to be shared on social media, you can hide your profile at any time from the My Profile page.

WhatsApp contact sharing

Your WhatsApp number is only shared after you approve a contact request (in request mode) or directly to subscribers (in direct mode). The matchmaker sets this preference in portal settings.

Data storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL). We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Cookies and analytics

We use minimal, privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the platform is used. No advertising cookies or third-party tracking is used.

Deleting your data

You can delete your profile at any time from the My Profile page. To delete your account entirely, contact us at hi@muslimwed.com and we will remove all your data within 30 days.
